*CLOSED* Tiny Owl Eco-Friendly Market

In the last several years, my family has tried to live an increasingly eco-friendly lifestyle. We cloth diaper, use cloth napkins and unpaper towels, reusable bags and stainless steel containers for waste-free lunches, etc. I have also become concerned not only about what we put IN our bodies, but what we put ON them, so we use natural and organic bath and body products as well. I do not have a lot of options for shopping green locally, and as I was breaking down boxes and making piles of cardboard and various packaging materials after a particularly heavy week of online ordering, I began to wonder just how eco-friendly it really was to have to order a couple items item here, a couple items there, etc. (not to mention the shipping costs I was forking over that added up quickly), and my idea for Tiny Owl was born. It’s often said in the cloth diapering community that cloth diapering is a “gateway to green living” for many people, and it was certainly true in my family’s case. My goal for Tiny Owl is to provide one-stop eco-friendly shopping not just for cloth-diapering families, but for anyone interested in green living, to carry a wide array of eco-friendly items for the entire family and home.

I firmly believe that living green shouldn’t be elitist, and I will strive to bring you products in a range of price points to demonstrate the fact that there are many small, affordable changes you can make to live greener and more naturally! Absolutely, most eco-friendly products do cost more than their mainstream counterparts, but there is a big difference between "price" and "value," and that is something I always take into consideration whether I'm purchasing items for my family or to share with my customers. 

I am also a firm believer in the importance of buying USA-made when possible, and while I am sure you share in my discouragement when looking for items that fit that bill, I will work diligently to seek out USA made items to share with you, because I know it still matters very much to many manufacturers out there too!

I also believe in supporting small businesses and handcrafters. While there are limitations due to the burdening costs these small businesses and handcrafters face in complying with applicable government regulations that we as a retailer must ensure are upheld, I will bring you as many items from them as possible. I've met some incredible people who haven't lost sight of why they started doing what they do so well, and I want to share that with you!

I am always more than happy to answer questions about the products I carry! With the exception of one line currently, every line in my store is there because I have used at least one, most often several, products from that line personally and am excited to share them with you  (my family now regularly uses that line I didn't try first)!
