In the fall of 2007 I launched Laines Magnifiques online store. After almost 4 years as Laines Magnifiques I decided it was time for a change. I wanted a new name for my business that was more "me". I never really felt that "LM" was the business name I was meant to have.
On April 26, 2011 Laines Magnifiques became Radiant Yarnworks.
I have been a knitter since I learned on the plastic learn-to-knit kit I received for Christmas when I was 8 years old. My grandma Alice (which the colourway Alice is lovingly named after) taught me how to knit on that kit! After laying my needles down through most of my 20s and part of my 30s I began knitting again when my middle child was born. It started with diapering wool and longies and has progressed to more superwash based and sock weight yarns.
From the start with Kool-aid to the current process of using acid dyes, the colourways have grown from 4 to over 50 unique and different colourways. Even the same colourway will have some level of uniqueness.
I strive to provide you with beautiful and unique hand-dyed yarn.All yarns are dyed in small batches with care, with minimal processing and professional materials. This allows for a unique affect each time while still maintaining repetitive consistency.I only use high quality wool and wool blend yarns. Each yarn is professionally set to create a washfast, fade resistant colourway for you to enjoy.
Radiant Yarnworks is proudly Canadian, located in Guelph, Ontario.
I don't know a whole lot about yarn, but I know that Radiant Yarnworks' work is beautiful! I had a hard time choosing which photos to include in my post because they are all absolutely incredible!
