Pixiekids Toys is a family business which makes toys and dolls that are fun and encourage the imagination! Melisa designs and makes play food sets out of Eco-felt, which is manufactured from recycled plastic bottles. She uses her experience as a former Montessori teacher and Speech Language Pathologist to design and make toys that inspire the imagination, provide a sensory experience, and encourage language use and development through imaginitive play. Bill makes the wooden boxes that come with some of the sets. Nine-year-old Gabe is the "idea" guy and helps improve and inspire designs. Six-month-old Nathaniel hangs out smiling and "talking" to mom while she sews.

Melisa sent me a Breakfast In Bed Set to review. It was a big hit! My parents were here when the package came, and they couldn't believe how cute everything was! My daughter got a kick out of it, and she still goes crazy every time I take the set out for her to play with! Her favorite thing is the "coffee"- which is actually hot chocolate!
